Vision

TED and TEDx
TED is a global nonprofit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading. It began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost almost any topic you can imagine.

TEDx is a licensing program in which TED-like presentations are shared with local communities around the world. Each TEDx organization is unique, developing and executing their events independently.

TEDxHeritageGreen
TEDxHG derives its name and spirit from a long-established public resource in the heart of Greenville, SC—Heritage Green, a cultural campus that is a vibrant place of discovery, inspiration, creativity, and entertainment for Greenville County residents and visitors of all ages and walks of life.

Our new TEDx organization was born out of a desire to spark epiphanies in individuals and to aid understanding, empathy, and engagement among diverse groups of people—especially those who rarely, if ever, come together as equals in a psychologically safe environment.

Conference

Our overall conference theme is TRUTH, a motif which will take shape as a common thread—at times, abstract—within all our presentations. Many concepts and definitions of “truth” manifest within individuals, families, groups, teams, organizations, communities, states, nations, industries, societies, cultures, the world, and even collective human consciousness.

B-Roll is made up of artists Grey Thompson, Kimbi Tiez, Marty Epp-Carter, Keith Groover, and Phillip McCreight. As the old joke says: “a musician, an artist, a poet, a designer and a videographer all walked into a....” Zoom call! Each brought individual talents, and each listened to the others. Out of randomness came clear vision.

Team Resilience is a visually musical and moving menagerie of new friends — singer-songwriter Darby Wilcox, mixed-media artist Keith Grace, painter/designer Laura Blume, and choreographer Gina Buntz. From Zoom calls to house calls, the team created as individuals apart, then distilled their separateness into a collaborative collage of movement, color, and sound.
